I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but I have seen an act or two (an “act” being a segment of program sandwiched between commercial breaks) of MTV’s new show “Maui Fever”. Granted, it happened at a friend’s house, and I am not one to jump up and exit the building just because something I don’t like is on the TV (even if it is as horrible as anything MTV produces), but it’s embarrassing nonetheless.
“Maui Fever” is some of the most complete garbage I have ever seen. It’s worse than “Laguna Beach” (but only by a little – I’ve talked before about how “Laguna Beach” was quite bad as well), and it’s far worse than “The Real World”. If you are under the illusion that “Maui Fever” is a show about real lives of real people, you are very mistaken. I shouldn’t really care, of course (bad programming on MTV?? Never!!!), but this was so bad I felt obligated to let everyone know about it. MTV is a joke.

Sometimes I say how bad the shows on MTV are, but I get sucked in…
It’s like a car wreck…You don’t want to look, but you just can’t look away.
